The Certification allows you to provide assurances to others online that you are who you say you are, that your personal data is accurate and that you are trustworthy based on past behavior.
The Certification includes the same functions as the Verification, another Honesty Onlline product offered on some partner sites, and then adds a background check and sex offender search. The background check and sex offender search is performed without requiring any further personal information.
Honesty Online’s background check is the most thorough available as our proprietary technology permits us to make very broad queries to our databases and then quickly sort through the abundance of data returned by that query in identifying those records that relate to the identity being investigated. In addition, Honesty Online will perform not just a national level background search but will also perform a state level search in those states (approximately 25%) which do not report up to the national level.
Honesty Online’s sex offender search is the most comprehensive available, querying not just the current National Sex Offender Registry but also a database of sex offenders who had been listed on the National Sex Offender Registry in the past but are no longer required to be listed and sex offenders who have committed sexual based offenses either before their state reported to the National Sex Offender Registry or who committed an offense that does not require reporting to the National Sex Offender Registry.
The Certification process occurs within minutes with the results of
the background and sex offender search being delivered almost immediately
after completion of the identity quiz. We will deliver an electronic credential reflecting the information we
have verified. The electronic credential can be viewed on the Web site
through which you have purchased your Cerification and you will have
the ability to grant others the right to view your electronic credential.
